How does Spotify work within my account?

**Spotify stopped 3rd party companies like DJ Event Planner from connecting. They started restricting accounts and slowly are removing it from everyone.  However we have removed the Spotify Integration and the ability to connect to your accounts within the DJEP software. If it has continued to work for your account until now (like a few other users), you've been lucky. If it has suddenly stopped working for you you should remove the Spotify integration in your account.

Spotify integration was added to DJ Event Planner to allow clients to access their Spotify playlists, search artists and songs and browse music collections via the Spotify Platform. It allows your clients to add songs or whole playlists to their planning account.  To enable Spotify in your account:

Login to DJ Event Planner -> Event Planning -> Spotify Integration

What is a Spotify Playlist?

A playlist is simply a collection of songs. People can make their own using the Spotify Platform, share them, and enjoy the millions of other playlists created by Spotify, artists, and other listeners worldwide.

Can my clients import their playlist into DJ Event Planner?

Yes they can, however it's optional. If you've enabled the Client Portal feature, you'll be able to choose if your clients can import whole playlists. This doesn't restrict them from selecting individual songs and adding these to the standard playlists such as "Must Play" or "Do Not Play" etc...

If a client imports a whole playlist, because the playlist may be large, a new playlist is created within the event with the title of the imported playlist instead of adding them to a standard playlist such as "Must Play" or "Do Not Play" etc...

Do playlist submissions count against the maximum song requests?

No, playlist submissions do not count against the maximum song requests. This is because they create a new "Playlist" within the event which is not tied to the restraints of the standard playlists.  This is because playlist submission was designed to allow your client to send you a playlist to give you an idea on what songs they like, not the songs they want played.
